I you do a google search for HD softail rear shock adjustment", you'll find several write up's that explain how to do this in detail.

God bless!

Thx Scott, I don't think I will have any problem with bottoming out, but it's good to know. I have a spanner for the regular shocks, guess I will have to invest in one for the LoBoy. Tools, we never have enough or the right one.

Peace, WD

Bunny,
Thanks for the tip and the link. I ordered a kit over the Labor day weeknd, and it was here tuesday, and is now installed. 45 minutes. Quailty parts, great directions, great price.

I've installed the cheap kits before and lowered the bike 2".....the ride was horrible but it looked great. The shock adjustment advise is exactly why I joined this forum. Thanks guys. By the way, Willie D, the bike looks really good lowered.

How much would a 1.5" kit affect handling? The Deuce has pretty high front pegs as is.

VT - Thanks for the nice words. I didn't look at this kit as 'Cheap'
the $20 extensions that I bought first and are still on the bench were.
It was the fact that I had to completely remove the shock and disasemble it in order to do the same thing that I did in 45 minutes I only wanted it about 1" or close to that. I still rides the same and YEs the boards scrape a little sooner, but then I like to do the corners, so scraping is not a factor for me.

Thanks 'Blazing Bikes', Great product.

Ordered some cheapo bolts from Vms racing VIA eBay last weak. Only a month or so of decent riding here so figured I would try these first then see if I wanna step it up over winter or not. Bolts were only $20 and I pi$$ed more than that away in miller light this weekend, so I can't get hurt that much.
