Default 21" Rim question for the front of my Heritage

Ok, I have been buying part by part and when i have a good chunk of the parts I will start the process of dropping my bike and making it a lowrider. Anyway, here is my question. I purchased a new 21X2.15 rim 80 spoke ready to mount on my bike. I will be adding a tire as well, a 90/90 21, assuming this is the biggest I can mount on the rim, correct? My questions are simple:

Should I have gone to a 21X3?
What size tire can I mount on this rim, a 90/90 21 right?

I am going to use a new 16X3 80 spoke wheel for the back. Soon a set of shot gun and a Progressive 2 inch drop in Kit just sitting on my bench waiting to be installed.

Mike

90/21 is the right size for your rim. A 120/21 is too big for that narrow rim. As far as what you should have done? That is up to you. I am sure you will be fine with what you have. If it were me I'd have gotten a 21x3.5 but that is me.

You could always sell the 21c2.15 and buy a wider rim. I am sure it will ride fine though.

If it makes you feel any better.I have been running a 90-90-21 on a 21 x 2.15 rim for the last year or so on my Deluxe with 0 problems. No shakes, wobbles,no skinny tire getting caught in road grooves, nothing.I am upgrading my wheels now.But was always happy with my current 21.Some people just dont like the skinny look under the FL front fender. But it never really bothered me.Good Luck
