Ok so I'm a bit confussed I know there are HarleyGoodies and Soos among other that will make the boards go out but what can I do to make them go forward? Will Arlen Ness kit work? https://shop.arlenness.com/shoppingc...sUpdated=False

I want them to go forward and maybe out. Also want to extend the shifter and brake. I know harley has chrome +1 shifter kit and +1 brake kits but I would like options for those in black and maybe billet extended +1 or +2.

Help please tired to make sense of the post I searched but figured I'd just asked. Part of the problem is I don't have the Bike yet... waiting on the loan papers to buy a 2010 Fat Boy Lo from a private party.

I found that with Harley Goodies there was no need to move the boards forward as the extra room provided was more than enough. Soos does not make a version for softails. There is the Kury kit and the ness kit, or you could also use th Cycle Visions go forward brackets with your boards in conjunction with Harley Goodies. I ordered my kit from cycle vision and it came with everything need to extended your floor boards and shifter. The only thing extra that I had to get was an extended brake line, I'm 6'5" and they moved my floor boards out 3" and it really makes a difference and I can stretch my legs out on a long ride and rest my heels on at the end of the boards kind of like highway pegs. Any more ideas? I was told the Arlen Ness kit won't work cause the Fat Boy Lo's floorboards are welded I guess at the frame..? I'll have the bike next week so guess it will make this easier.

You can add forward extensions from Cycle Visions in conjunction with Harley Goodies, or you can get something like the Kury or Ness ones.
