Default pass peg extension?

Wife would like peg extensions for the passenger pegs, would like them lowered a bit. She loves to ride, just isn't comfy with the stock setup. I have a stock 2003 Heritage, ann. edition.
Dealer wasn't any help.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks for your time,

Steve

Kuryakyn sells all kinds of different offset peg mounts, I'm sure you can find something that will work:

JPCycles sells a 360 degree rotating foot board .less than 200.00 .They work great and the boards fold up.The only drawback is they are no covers for the bottom of the boards and are unsightly when folded up.Thay can be adjusted to about any height and angle.

Depending upon your exhaust set-up, it may be hard to get the right side much lower. I used the Kuryakyn anti-rotation mounts reversed (left on the right and right on the left) and it will lower the pegs by about 3/4".

Perhaps if you move them forward it would help? I've used the Kuryakyn male mount lockable offset mounts (4") and the Kuryakyn lockable offset mounts (2") to relocate the pegs. I was trying to get them up and forward for Paula.

Since I'm changing my exhaust, I had to change the set-up. I ordered (should be here today! ) this kit from J&P.

If the J&P kit works out...I'll be happy to make you a good deal on the Kuryakyn parts...

Yeah, those are nice but, they aren't lower than the standard pegs.

I was wishing they made a bracket for the passenger boards to lift them 2.5 inches...like the one they sell for the Touring bikes...[&:]

Just a note on fitment of the 360 degree rotating kits that J&P sells. I'm dealing with relocating normal pegs but, I'm pretty sure this applies to the kits for the 360 degree floorboards as well.

I ordered part number 5300260 which is a kit to allow 360 degreee rotation of the regular pegs. The parts look fine..I think the mount that comes with the kit will actually work in the "anti-rotation" department (why did H-D use only ONE bolt to mount the passenger pegs on softails?).

Only one BIG problem. They aren't a "bolt on" for '90 and up bikes. The mount uses a 1/2-20 bolt (it's got a threaded hole) to attach it to the frame and it MUST go in from the wheel side. My '04 uses a 3/8-13 bolt that goes in from the outside through the factory peg mount.

The J&P catalog says to use kit #5300261 for '90-'06 FLSTC's. This # is also for FXR's and, most importantly, after the tech person at J&P actually looked at the mount, it uses the 1/2-20 mounting bolt as well.

Basically, I have but two choices...send it back or drill and tap my frame for the 1/2-20 bolts. [&:]

You might also want to consider something like passenger mini-footboards. Even though in stock mounts, they "fit" your passenger's feet differently. Kuryakyn makes some; I imagine others do as well.

My wife loves hers. Bonus: They keep her boots off my pipe - mostly.

Hope this helps. - BrianK
