fork brace for chromed lowers?

Default fork brace for chrome lowers?

i replaced my 07 standard lower forks with the HD chrome lowers.Does anyone know if a fork brace is made for these chrome lowers? the stealer book says that 46097-98 (fork brace) will not fit with chrome lower fork sliders

did you look into RSD, they make some good lookin braces.
infact i think there is one for sale in the softail clasifieds

As long as the OD didn't change you should be fine. I think it's 41 or 44 mm. I think they're referring to those large tube covers.

No I think 41mm is the inner fork tube. If that's a pic of your bike, they look like standard fork lowers, just chrome. Should fit.

thats a old pic,i bought chrome lowers for the bike and i was told they are a bit wider now with the added chrome and thats why the HD brace wont fit

They don't look that much wider. But can't tell for sure. To bad you don't know someone that could let you try a brace.

buy the part from harley, try it out...if it fits great if not then return it. i dont know if every dealers return policy is the same but at mine as long as it isnt mechanical you can return it within a period of time
