Default Wanted some purchase info on 2007 deluxe

I've been thinking for a while about getting out of my bobber - she just doesn't have the comfort level that I am craving. My BF has a new FLHP that I LOVE but the RK is too heavy for me to comfortably manuever on my own - backing up, etc. Today I ran into what may be a great deal and I am hoping you guys can give me some advice. A dealer that I frequent has a 07 Deluxe on consignment. This baby is loaded. Has vance and hines duals, SERT, too much chrome to list, detachable bags and backrest, security system, rides like a dream, looks immaculate and - get this - 350 miles and I put on 40 of them today. They said I could steal her for around $14500.
I looked it up on NADA and the price looks right for the year.
Anything you can tell me that I need to know about this year. All of my harleys have been newer than this bike. How does the price look to you cuz I'm about to jump on her before someone else does. That blue and white is beautiful!!

Not sure on the price but if it's good for you, it's a lot more comfy than the bob, plus you will look better on it, hope that helps.....doesn't sound like a bad deal but try to knock them down a little more. May be hard cause it's like a new bike an 07 but a new 07
If you do buy it make sure they change the tires as they are getting old in years not wear.

Seems like a lot for an 07 to me.

Sounds like a really good deal to me. Loaded up and 300 miles? Get it!

Love my '06. The sixth speed you'll get would be nice.

If you really like it as much as you say, get it. You only go around once!

I'd say if they're "asking" $14,500, you should be able to get it lower or at least have them throw something in, like the first service. Tires should be okay unless visibly damaged cracking, etc.. I'd rather have the dealer knock off $500 than change out the tires, but that's just me. There are a lot of deals out there if you look around, but then again, no matter what, after you get it, another better deal will come around. So if you're happy with deal, go for it and don't look back.

Sounds like this Deluxe is calling your name I think you can get a lower price on it. Start with a lowball offer and see what happens. I got my 09 Heritage cheaper than that, but it had 10k miles on it. I bought it during the colder months when sales were slow, so I had a little more room to bargain.

Good luck!

Remember, these are all *asking* prices, and nobody (who is sane) expects to get their asking price. These are all close to you.

Mass, $13.5K http://boston.craigslist.org/sob/mcy/2532238078.html

Rhode Island, $13.5K http://providence.craigslist.org/mcy/2530625903.html

NJ, $13.5K, 1900 miles: http://cnj.craigslist.org/mcy/2521572623.html

A bit further away:

VA, $12.9K http://norfolk.craigslist.org/mcy/2512430766.html
Columbus: $13K: http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/2529421888.html

Keithhu, thanks for posting those craigslist' bikes. Helped me see that the bike I'm looking at has more than any of those did and gave me an idea where I can start offering $$ on the bike. I know that when I trade in my bike, all the extras I have on it mean nothing to them. Should go both ways. This isn't my first bike sale but it is my first used bike deal and first softail so I wasn't sure what this baby was worth.
Thanks for the advise. Guess I'll be making a phone call on Tues. when they open up with a little bit of a lower number. We'll see what happens and what my credit co. says about lending me some $$ on a used bike.

My experience is that dealers will come down $500 at most, curious to see how you do. There were ones that were less expensive than I posted but I skipped those because they are too far away. Http://www.craiggers.com can be your friend.

eBay is also interesting - you can see completed auctions (these are ones that complete a sale, or the auction expires without meeting the reserve).

Here's a reserve not met on a 07 Deluxe, looks like bone stock, 4K miles, highest bid was $11,300

Here's one for $13,700 with a windshield and bags, only 2800 miles.

Here's one that sold for $12,200, only 924 miles!
