Default Replacing risers on heritage

YES I do have a service manual. I someone can point me to where it talks about the risers I would appreciate it.

I am replacing my stock risers with the 4" pull backs just to get the bars a bit closer - that is where my comfort position is. I see they are threaded inside, so I assume you unbolt from the bottom after removal of handlebars and top clamp.

Difficult???

Simple. It is a 3/4" socket and I use an extension so I can reach the bolt. Take off bars. Unbolt risers. Bolt new risers on. Put bars back on.

U can loosen the clamps and tilt the bars back if all U need is a little.

It is helpful if you loosen the riser bolts before removing the bar clamp and bars. Sometimes the risers will twist and you can't get the bolts out. Consider that you also might need to replace the brake line with a 2 or 4 over. Your throttle and clutch cables should be OK though.

I tried that and it just didn't feel right so I got the risers with the pull back...I think they will be just the ticket, and hopefully the brake line will be long enough to reroute or cut the ties that hold it..

Not sure about your bike but some have a clamp that holds the brake line to the triple tree. If yours is like that, you can take the line out of the clamp and have the room you need, but long term, you should replace the line if it is too short to fit in the clamp.
