Default Heartland kit is here!!!

Well got a call from my homie at the dealership today, my heartland kit came in so I went and picked it up and got my rims ordered. Gonna take the swing arm and fender struts in to powder coat tomorrow. Dont really care for that wrinkle black finish on the struts, gonna get it recoated matte black to match the swing arm. Just gonna be waiting on the rims its install time. Dont know about that Danny Grey seat though doesent seem as soft as my Le Pera Gel seat I hope it rides good, how do all you other heartland owners like the seat??

Jay

Loaded up to go home...

Looks great cant wait to get started installing all of this.

Hope you've also planned to lower the bike. Be prepared for the 3" gap between tire and fender.

Here's a couple of tips I discovered.. You HAVE To lower the bike or it looks stupid.. I used the stock tail lights and the Heartland mount brackets. In order to hide the wires I drilled a hole in the fender right behind the work track in the strut so the wires stayed on the inside of the fender and didn't show.. The seat is ok but takes a while to soften up.. I'm still thinking about memory foam or gel insert.. After about 2-3 hrs in the saddle my *** starts to get uncomfortable.. Enjoy

Yah - drop the bike with air-ride while you're there. It'll be easier while you're taking the swingarm off etc. anyway.

Minimally get the progressive 422.

Looks like someones gonna have one of the Sweetest rides on the Windward side! On the first ride your gonna hate the HL seat( I did), but after a couple rides, it gets nice and comfy. Hit me up when you get it put together
....oh yeah beware of the gap...LOL
