93 heritage speedo quit
I have a "new to me" 93 heritage classic that the speedo has up and quit working. I've swapped out the cable and still nothing. Where to go from here? Front wheel speedo sensor and swap out the speedo itself? Any ideas? Thanks!!!

I'll ask the obvious questions.
Did you check the fuses? Is everything dead mileage - trip - speed & light?
You will need a multi-meter and the service manual to trace down the next steps.

Trip and speed are both dead, as is odometer. The light works just fine. It's a mechanical speedo.

Pull the cable form the speed and let it hang out where you can see it and go for a ride. If it spins then it's got to be in the speedo itself.

I've had three since 93 because they broke, first two where stock, last one is drag speacialties. Good advice from IronAss.

+1, its the best way to test the sending unit.

If you have a variable speed drill you could use it to check the speedo head itself by putting the cable end in the drill at a slow speed to see if the needle on the speedo moves.
