I know there is a seperate section for National Events, but I wanted to see if anyone from the softail section is going to Sturgis for the Rally this year? This is my first time and I was looking possibly to hook up with some folks and do some riding.

 

Yes...........leaving from St. Louis on Aug 5th and returning on Aug 12th-13th. Will stay in Vermillion area the first night........roll into Sturgis/Rapid City Aug 6th. Not sure were we will stay on the return trip........somewhere 500-600 miles from Sturgis. Looking forward to the trip and the time off work!

 

I wish I was but I can't get off work that week. Also, there isn't enough $$ in the coffers to go.

 

I will be. I live in Rapid City, it's already crazy here. Black Hills HD has all the tents setup and vendor trucks are sitting there already. They got the pre rally rollout this Saturday. This will be my 2nd year for the rally and first for my parents that are driving from Pittsburgh. Next year I probably won't even ride during that week since it's so busy with so many people.

 

Leaving out of western mass on the 3rd. 1882 miles..yahoo!

 

Right near my old stomping grounds so heading up with the family in tow. Likely only a couple days, gotta find some new stuff for the ride, but with so many people a couple days is all I got in me. Pretty crazy place for a few weeks.

 

Headed there for the 12th time. I was going to take the FXSTC but my son and I decided to go north into Canada across and down through N. and S Dakota as a different route to Sturgis this year. I will need to carry more stuff so I'm taking the Ultra.

 

Well I will be there on the 6th. Staying the whole week. First year and I cant wait.

 

The week of sturgis is the best week of the year. Can't wait.

 

Ill be heading up with a friend on a vicitory from Omaha on the 6th. Cant wait!! Second time going, first time staying at the Brokenspoke!
