i think its a pro-1 piece, it was meant for 86-99 softies but all i did was machine about 1/4" off it to fit my axle and got a smaller castle nut
its got the diamond taillight on it

Hey New Jersey Guys, have you ever had or known anyone that had problems with a side mount plate, as far as the law gos? I"m planning on a custom rear fender and side mount plate on my 2001 Softail but if I'm gonna get pulled over constantly for it, I might think of another alternative. I'm in Monmouth County but I'm sure all of NJ is about the same as far as those things are concerned. 20NightTrain03, what do you have, the curved axle mount with the diamond LED, thats what I'm thinking about, hows it look?

I havent heard of anyone having problems with side mounts in NJ. I have friends in Staten Island, NY who have gotten pulled over. Along with the side plate my bike has no rear signals and very short pipes and I haven't been stopped. I believe side mounts are legal only if the plate is horizontal.

 

i got the straight one with the diamond

havent had any problems with cops pulling me over for anything..........................loud pipes, sidemount plate, no inspection sticker, etc
doesnt seem like jersey cops mess with guys on harleys............noticed this first hand and have been told this by several longtime bikers

but of course...............you know how it goes

i was meaning to snap some updated pics of my bike but i didnt get home from atlantic city till 4 am this morning and slept till 3 in the afternoon lol

i get off work early tomorow so hopefully tomorow night i can
