I've been burning up on my '11 SG as well. Will be looking to install the following:

Currently I am running all stock, but plan to address the exhaust this winter.

Get a hold of Jamie at www.fuelmotousa.com and talk to him about a powercammander V. It will come from him with a tune that will make your bike run considerably cooler than stock. Then as you add mods later on you contact them and they will send you a new map for the PC-V for FREE. I think the powercommanders are about $300 and well worth it.

I spoke with Steve at Nightrider today. He is so cool to talk with. He tole me all about his product. Steve said his product will drop the temp by 25 degrees. Are you guys with the PCV or the SERT getting that much of a temp drop?

But will I have to change pipes and a Stage 1 to use the PCV?

I think for what you want to do a PC may be overkill. It will work but the XIED'S will do just about the same for less money. I've had them on mine when brand new and they do work, you will use more fuel but it's worth it.
Mine is more of an ongoing science project but I have tried many products and know what works for cheap. When it was 95 and humid here my oil temp was at 210 riding and about 225 stop and go and thats liveable. you know if you can pick up some used mufflers for cheap that to will help some but will be louder

Did you change pipes with the stg1 and SERT?
Just putting on some miles helped a little...
Ours when new ran about 250*
After the 1k service and a stg1 with SERT, and a dnyo, she ran around 235*
At 10K did Syn oil and the temp dropped another 5*
At the 15k service we had cams in stalled.. Now she runs 210-220*
All these readings are on the open road, not stuck in traffic. Also with the dial temp oil dipstick.
I've been reading in here for Yrs, since 2000 when the TC's first came out that almost every Yr members complain about the Heat...
Pay U harley tax and she'll cool down. 30-40*
