I have three Lugage Racks. The same one as byersmtrco does, which is HD P/N 53862-00, I also have the Motherwell one shown elsewhere in this thread, and I have the HD P/N 53649-05 Detachable Solo Rack. Of the three; the one that byersmtrco shows in his posting is the most functional of the three that I have, and the Motherwell one is the best looking . . . . just my opinion . . . . but if you get your heart set on that Detachable Solo Rack . . . send me a PM . . . .

Doesn't look like as sturdy a mount as straight off the sissy bar like the HD ones. It probably won't hold as much weight but I had to try it.

I've had this rack on for about two months now. Just personal observations. If you are going to put moderate weight on it, fine. It does the job of holding a tube bag up.

When it's bare, i think it takes away from the look of the bike. It's a bit flimsy LOOKING, and the build wasn't perfect. Just a bit twisted. No one else seems to notice and says it looks fine but you know how that goes; If YOU notice it, then it bugs you no matter what anyone says.

I put a cheap tube bag on it and it sags. I'll be spending the bucks for something that holds it shape when I can. As long as the rack is covered by luggage it shouldn't matter much.

Seems I have a hard time when it comes to making decisions as far as mods on the Heritage. To me it's such a beautiful machine from the factory, there's always a chance that an add-on will detract from its perfect looks

Byersmtrco, Nice bike. What kind of bags are those wit no coaches or chrome dots? They look great. Thanks.
