I'm not a spike fan first.
The wrap, while it looks like you spent some time doing a very neat job, if you're going to do it wrap the entire bars. I don't particularly like the mix of the bars showing through.

 

Hmm just got an idea to heat shrink my bars... if I get tired of it just cut it off no harm unlike powder coating... since my bike is denim it should look decent...

 

Yeah, not feeling it. IMO I would stick to black PC. But, as stated already, its your bike.

 

Wow. Didn't realize it would meet with such dislike.

I am going to be tightening it up a little...straightening the weave...but as everyone has pretty much stated...its my bike. I like it because it breaks up the Chrome on the bars, and because it reminds me of my baseball days. Man it sux getting old.

I like the idea... but as others have said, I would wrap them solid rather than the criss-cross pattern. Just my taste.

Yep, and completely wrap them so no chrome is showing. Sorry, but the way you have them wrapped looks incomplete & pointless, IMO.

Well....I guess I will be the odd one out here. I saw the pics and thought, I want that too! I think it looks great!! Def different, not too much chrome, not too much leather. I think you hit a home run!!
