Hey everyone, So I bought a 2011 Heritage with ABS and Security, I ordered 16" Apes and all the Magnum Cables to go with it, The Problem is that HD is telling me the Bottom ABS cable is back ordered until November (I ordered all the Parts in March) So just wondering if there is a after market cable I can buy or if any one has had luck just changing the Top line and not the bottom, I really don't want to ride with stock bars all year. Any help would be greatly appriceated.

I put apes on my bike with abs, didnt have to change the lower line because its length doesent change. I bought goodridge fittings and line to connect my brake master to the abs unit. I bought a black line so it kind of matches the stock one, you would only need to change the lower if you got braided and wanted it to match.

if you get a line built dont tell them its for a abs line they would not build one for me. hill country customs said they would build one but they dont have black ss line.

 

So is a ABS line and none ABS the Same ?

hill country said they use the same line on both abs and non but am going with black braided like what xjayx did he is the only one i have seen run the line like that seems to work on his its just when you tell them what the line is for they dont want to do it insurance reasons or something

 

 

Did you check with Magnum... I ran the Magnum Designer series so the bottom is independant from the top. This way if I were to change bars ever in the future I only need to replace the top half of the brake line.
