Long Ride With Out Full Face Helmet
#31
I wear a 3/4 most of the time around here is So California. But we haven't got many bugs and even less rain. When I go on a long trip I take the FF for encounters with the rain (and hail, and snow, and . . . ). Also when the temperatures drop below 45-50F a FF can definitely be more comfortable. As for two hours . . . with all due respect, that is just a medium daily commute here in L.A.

I wear a 3/4. I have not found a 1/2 that is comfortable due to the fact my ears are abnormally high on my head lol. As for bugs and particularly road debris off trucks well I love my windshield I know many don't thnk its "cool" but I find my ride much more enjoyable with the shield especially at highway speeds.

I have a half helmet (scorpion exo-100) and an HJC 3/4. After a wreck I worked this past week where the guy was wearing a 3/4, face planted, and had to be flown out due to the front of his face being demolished; jaw, cheek, and forehead...
I might be pulling the trigger on a Scorpion EXO-700/750.

I am bout to do an 800 mile run I have a Shark Helmet for this type of ride it is a 3/4 which converts to full face if necessary. If I am staying local or a somewhat short couple hundred mile run it is a skull cap all the way. Anything with major highway running gets more - not worried about a bug ro two, but dont want to eat a pebble from a truck or car at 70 mph....
