Default New Brake pads and rotor w/o breaking the bank

Hey all - Just took off my rear wheel so I can get the tire changed out and decided I'd change the brake pads and rotor while I'm at it. Am I barking up the wrong tree if I want something other than HD OEM? What are you running on your bike? I can get non-OEM for about the same price and like the look of some of the other rotors on J&P. What would you recommend? Oh, I ride an '04 FXST.

Lyndalls. they are not inexpensive but last forever. I just swapped out my front pads after 3 years and about 30K miles. They still had pad left on them too. Yes, I use my front brakes...a lot.
