Did Sam tell you what was causing the problem on the old wheel?

Nice to hear that things have been taken care of, and even nicer of you to post it here! Most people only post their complaints, and rarely find the time to post praise when things worked out.

I'm glad it worked out for you Peg. Your frustration at the start of all this was understandable...I hope you don't have any more problems. BTW, can you say what the the problem was? I know a lot of ideas and suggestions were thrown about but I never heard what the real issue with the wheel was.

You know Drew, this is usually my attitude. If I get a car going very slow in front of me, I say to myself "who knows, that car going slow in front of me might cause me to miss the guy at the next intersection who will run the red light." Usually works for me, keeps me patient.

It was just a little hard to take having my bike gone Apr, May, and June... (and who knows, maybe in June the bike being out of service caused me to miss that guy texting and running through the stop sign...)

I was told by the woman at Ride Wright that she overheard it was the crush tube too long. The guy (Jay) who worked on it, however, has been out of the country and won't be back until Monday. Sam had not spoken with him so I've got no more information on it.

I do hope to talk to Jay on Monday to get more details, just for my information.

Sam gve me quite the rundown of what goes into the spacers and bearings. Most of it did a flyby - a lot more complicated than one would think. Er, well one who didn't even know what a crush tube was until a few weeks ago

I am glad to hear everything worked out with Ride Wright. I too had a positive experience doing business with Sam. I would and do recommend them for wheels. Once you have a set it's hard not to be a rolling billboard for RW wheels.
