I think a basic 1-3\4 drag pipe or something similar looks best wrapped. I would not wrap a crossback. Just my opinion

The AC cover is too big. I solved this by getting at first a "Football", but now have a heavy breather.

Rinehart is not the only one that states it cannot be used, Sampson, and a couple of others state the same thing because of the AC. I have found this out because I am also shopping for pipes, will be doing the 103 in a couple of months. I think the black wraps look good, V&H makes a nice set.

Something I just did and it looks awesome, so it may be a very nice low cost option for you. I bought the chrome smooth AC cover from HD and sent it out to be powder-coated in gloss black. Cost was $40 to do this. It's smaller in diameter than the Crossbones stock AC cover and retains the same look.........only better! It should fit well with the new Rinehart pipes.

I actually am in the process of doing exactly that. I have a 2010 Black Denim crossbones and am installing the black cross backs with black wrap. Because the whole pipe is black I am not installed the chrome heat shields and just wrapping where the heat shield would have been. I just finished wrapping them actually and need to wait for the wrap to dry (you soak them before hand) before I paint them. I am hoping they turn out well and fit the mainly flat black with gloss black trim style of the bike. I will hopefully have pictures tomorrow.
