Get a detachable from Memphis Shades and you can just put it on when you feel like it.

 

1) Get a detachable. That way you have versatility.
2) Many many feel different, but the faster speeds are much easier with the windshield/fairing. Part of it is the wind pressing on the chest, but the other part is the way the wind can ring in the ears. Some like while others hate it.

 

Here is a shot from my last bike. It'd didn't last too long before the looks got on my last nerve. Just didn't fit the theme I was going for so I sold it. Worked fine though.

I put a detachable Memphis Shades Batwing on my Fatboy last month...........love it. Takes about 5 seconds to remove. I take it off riding around town but on long trips that's the first thing on the bike. Makes a big difference with fatigue.........can find them on ebay for about half the cost if you buy directly from Memphis.

 

Certainly nothing wrong with this pair I mean fairing.

 

I like the look of the detachable from Memphis Shades. That mite be the one I'd go with if I were in the market.....

 

I like the MS one, but I'd have tp paint it and after that the cost is close to getting one with a stereo.

Looking at getting a reckless fairing, color matched and stereo for $1,200

The MS one would be like $8-900 with stereo and paint

 

I have a woodys fairing on my fatboy and love it. I really like the fact that any aftermarket or harley parts that fit a batwing fit on it. So that means all the aftermarket windshields and bags etc. I did put a fairing bra on mine to help keep the costs down and looks good with the leather saddlebags I think. I would recommend buying your own stereo as well so you can get what you want. Good luck.
