Best Way to Install Danny Gray Protective Tape

I applied mine by lining it up and starting from the center, worked my way to the outer edges.
Once it was on, I used a smooth edged piece of plastic,
(a #1 child's toy from my kid's youth) and elbow grease to work the entire surface.
It removed the lighter colored areas and made it clear and it blended in to be less noticeable.

PITA sticker...
Cliff,
Congrats on the seat selection...I'm confident you'll enjoy it. I too buggered up the sicker on my first attempt, (I was rushing it). So I fell back on some old school technology. After I made sure the area was clean, I sprayed it with water that contained just a drop of liquid dish washing soap. (Borrowed/ commandiered one of the wife's spray bottles). Applied the sticker and positioned it where I wanted it, then patted it dry with a soft cloth while working any air bubbles to the outside. Turned out good... The soap acts as a lubricant which in turn lets you move the sticker around to where you want it.
Hopes this helps,
Ray

hey, screwed up my first tape also, second time i did like i should have. i mixed up soap and water just like i was gonna wash the bike. used clean rag to soap/water up fender. removed (carefully, do not get finger prints on back side) proctective layer. layed the clean film on the fender and scooted it around to where i wanted it and carefully worked out the soap and water and bubbles. that is the correct way to do it....peterrabbit.
