Deluxe Seat

RE: Deluxe Seat
Just did the same seat mod to my Wife's bike. Took the seat cover off, narrowed the front of the seat pan, trimmed some foam, put it all back together. Switched to the Springer seat rail, added the Backrest. Added a fender bib from Timber Wolf Leather that matches the seat beautifully. Removed the luggage rack, and ordered the Solo rack. Fits her much better, and is much more comfy.
here is the Bib I installed.... I am considering adding the Braiding to fully match everything. It won't be that difficult...once I find the lacing that I want.

RE: Deluxe Seat
I'm 6'5" and have an 05 deluxe. I agree the stock seat sucks. I always felt like I was sitting on a hill. Decided to try the Harley Sundowner deep bucket seat. It has a pillion that somebody can actually ride, has a nice rise behind you that you can lean back on and it looks good. Most dealers have regular 15% off sales if so you can pick one up for about $285. It's not perfect, but a big improvement over the stock seat (especially if you plan on carrying a rider). Hope I've been some help.
