Default Droppin' it...

I was just curious if there is any viable options for dropping the rear suspension? I am saving for a Shotgun Shock from Drew, but I am looking for something to get me close for the time being. I have seen the replacement pieces for the shocks, but they only drop it around 1". I would LOVE to get it down around 2"... if possible & without spending hundreds on Progressive replacement shocks. Any ideas? Thanks in advance folks!

Most of the "lowering bolts" will drop you 2". they can be found from $ 25 - 110 for about the same thing.

I wouldn't buy **** from Demons. I bought a set of these in the link below. Took 3 days for them too get to me. I dropped mine 1 3/4". I could have gone 2" but decided to stop at 1 3/4" for now.

there are a lot of companies that make the lowering bolts that will lower the bike 2". they average around $100-$125 and then you have to have them pressed into the shocks. Not a big deal. But, put that money toward the air ride is wiser. LOL.

I second that---save your money for Shotgun shocks.

There is no comparison in looks or ride quality. Definitely an apples to oranges comparison.

I would have put the money towards an air ride but the $17.00 bolts is a long ways from the price of an air ride. I still don't understand how they have too be pressed into the shocks.

Must be for newer or older models than my 2003. I used an arbor press to slightly compress the shock can allowing removal of a retaining ring. The bolts screwed in after that. If one doesn't have access to a press, a simple work around can be easily made with some threads-all and 2 pieces of flat stock. I used some of the generic $20 ebay bolts.

Burnout Cycles kit from JP will lower 2" and you don't have to take the shocks apart. It's about $100
