Default Best way to lower rear of FXS

I just recently purchased first HD and posted some pictures and some of things already done. I had several comments being told I need to lower the rear end 1 -2 inches. What is the best way to do this, what is involved?

Pictures?

Your choices are:

Lowering bolts- cheap but virtually remove any suspension from the rear end. HORRIBLE ride.

Progressive 422's- I have these... they're better than bolts, but still rough. Between 2-$500 + install.

Air ride- Shotgun Shock, Legends, Progressive... all of these do the same thing, but to hear most of the guys on the HDF tell it, the SS is the best of the lot. WAY expensive but allows you to raise or lower the bike on the fly and no matter how low you go, the ride stays the same- nice and plush.

Thanks for the info. So far since the bike is so new there aren't allot of parts out for it yet. for example a quality solo seat, and I went to their site about the 422s and they don't list the model yet so I have sent them an email asking do they currently make one that does. Here is a link to where I posted pictures of the bike

Ah... the Blackline. As far as I know, it's a Softail. The latest version of the 422's should work no problem. As long as the 422's you (potentially) get have the allen key bolts toward the front of the frame, you should be good to go.

I spoke with one of the people at Progressive (forgot name) and they said the 422's will fit the Blackline fine as it is the standard Softail chassis the shocks were designed for. I ordered mine and will be installing them hopefully this next week. I will post some pics and info to help as well.

FXS I pm'd you regarding possibly buying your stock Blackline bars off you if you are interested...on that note once I replace the pullback bars if any of you are interested in them for an el cheapo price let me know.

I have a set of progressive 442's on my blackline. They ride way better than the lowering bolts I had on it before. I got my progressive shocks from Drew (Dr. V-Twin). I also have the progressive drop in kit on the front with some heavy weigh fork oil. love the way my bike handles.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forums. I'm looking for a front end lowering kit and was wondering if the progressive drop in kit really is as easy to install as they say it is for the blackline, and what part number would fit it? Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
