My 04 Heritage with SE II and SE A/C pops a bit on decel. I usually just decel slower or give it a touch of throttle and it goes away. I dont mind it.....Hell, I wish it would blow flames!!!

I was thinking about putting 33" on my heritage as well. That would be awesome if you posted pictures.

I have 39" cholos with stock cleaner and no tuner and I get an occasional pop on decel but mostly it's a burbling sound. It sounds damn good when you are engine braking. Sounds like an old chevy truck I used to have that had a standard transmission and dual glass packs. Or as I have said before and old hot rod flat head with straights.

I am just running straight 39" non baffled cholos and that is it. As long as you are just doing exhaust there is no need for a tuner. The modern computer can and will make small adjustments to the air fuel ratio.

Ive got 33's too. I ran mine with stock cleaner and no tuner, had some pop, but now I have a cleaner and tuner, and I have no Pop at all, maybe a "burb" every once in a while, but thats it.

thanks fellas
Does no harm...but annoying. Yes...more tuning is needed. Don't know squat about SERT...but on my Tmax....I looked at RPM when POP starts and stops. Then I richened up AFR from 0 rpm to point where it stops...low end. Then Tmax has a setting that cuts decel fuel from high RPM point to low point. Now I only get occasional POP. If SERT has similar ability...try my routine. It popping cause mixture is lean...and flame front leaks past exhaust valve. If you can richen up low end mixture and cut injectors off at POP start and stop RPM...that'll get it.

sorry to bring up this old thread.. but I installed my 39" unbaffled cholos, and a Ness big sucker stage II AC, and got the PV from fuel moto.. I told them what I had (just the 2 mods above) on an otherwise stock 96".. before and after loading their tune, I am still getting quite a bit of decel popping. and to me it seems quite rich. after riding when i park it, theres quite a bit of raw fuel smell, enough to fill the garage. I have had this problem in the past before the installation of the new AC and cholos.. but it kinda went away on its own. (after the dealer said they couldnt find anything wrong).. but its obviously doing it again.. weather its related to the tune or not.

ideas?... esp for the decel pop, could anything else be causing it, other than an improper map?, Id like to hear some opinions before I call up fuel moto to see if they have another tune I can use.

Thanks in advance

I can only go by mine. I have them Samson's, but I look at my ride as old.

Try 2-1 will work wonders, looks awkward but works great!

Bringing up a old thread is good, in your case!

Not too many Samson threads.
