Default Lowered Night Train...

Thinking bout lowering the front of my bike... Any real benefit to doing this lowering of the fork?? Or is it mainly a look thing?
If it will help ride... Which kit should I go with??
Thanks

I dropped the front of my FXDWG 2" using the Progressive drop in springs. Easy to follow instructions. Was advised by Progressive that it would be necessary to slam the rear by the same inches. Did it make a difference? Yes, the bike handles 100% better for me, lower center of gravity, I sit 2" closer to the road and the bike looks better.

Looks alone is reason enough. Nothing worse than a 4x4! I used progressives before I went with 2" under tubes.

depends what you are looking to run it can be anywhere between 2.5 grand and 150 bucks from Airride to bolts and Front lowering springs.

roger that... Im looking to get it done for the least amount possible, but also not if the end result is going to be a worse ride than what the bike give me now, not that its a bad ride, but in reference to truck suspension, cheapest isn't always the best way to go.

It depends how low you are looking to go I have bolts in the back and progressive springs in the front it is a little rougher but way more stable and better handling.
Kinda like a Tank

here is the cheapest you can go

just to give a different view point, lowered bikes look great--no doubt. However, the ride leaves a little something to be desired or at least on the lowered bikes (Heritage and a Night Train) I have ridden. I can't say either one of them had a Progressive setup though. If you ride your bike a lot of miles or is a daily rider, you may want to ride one that has already been done to check it out.

If you want a bar hopper than go with the bolts for the rear end. If you do longer rides save your money for AT LEAST a set of progressive 422's. There's been a few sets on here for sale and they're always on fleabay, or get in touch with dr v twin. If you've got the $$ go with an air ride suspension.
