Default Trying a Windvest on my Crossbones

Not exactly the right one, headlight cutout is not quite right, as this is for a springer softail..but, I got it used and thought it would serve as a test, before forking out the bigger coin..
Seems to work pretty well, takes pressure off at highway speed,,kind of nice, I think is may be swirling wind around to the back of my head??.. It blew my hat off once, that has never happened.. Still going to test it a while, trying to decide
I don’t think it messes up the lines too badly..
What do you think? For a windshield on a “Bones”, that is…lol
If I order one, it will be a tinted screen, and the hardware in black
Also, did my first 2 up ride on her last Saturday..much to my surprise..I seemed to have more room than on the FLHT..didn’t even know she was back there..
Overall could not be happier with the Crossbones!

It looks good,
I had my first ride with a windshield (and wife) this past week end and I got to say the highway stuff was easier.
Even on the side roads, I did take out my ear plugs for a bit to test and noticed a great difference in what I hear

Looks good
I had a windvest on my old super glide with the mini apes and it worked great. It's amazing how much that little windsheild reflects air.

I bought a 2011 Crossbones and have been searching for the perfect shield to help limit fatigue on the cross country rides. Your pics are exactly what I am looking for. Please reply with make, model, source of and cost.

Here's my formula for no windshield highway riding:
Speed = 60mph = piece of cake
Speed = 65mph = no problem
Speed = 70mph = suckage factor begins to kick in
Speed = 75mph = suckage factor gets real
Speed = 80mph = suckage factor in full effect

For me, at 58 years old, I can handle about 125 miles of 75mph+ riding (with no windshield) before it's time to pull off the road and take a little break.

I like it! That's probably the only kind of "windshield" I'd consider for my Crossbones. How easy it is to attach and remove?

I have the Harley detachable windscreen for my 09 Bones. I use it for long trips or times I know I'm going to be on the highway for a while. I take it off for shorter day trips or commuting to work. Once it gets really cold though, the windshield stays on.
