Default Cable kit for Ape install

Got a pair of Licks shorty 1" risers and Todd's cycle 10" outlaw apes... Which cable kit would be the best for my 07 Train with stock 4" drag bars?
Dont want steel braided either, just a stock type cable.

I'm a little confused. Do you want cables for the apes or the stock bars or both?
Do you want to know what brand, what kit or what?

I need a cable kit i assume for my new apes. I already have the stock drag bars. Which brand woulf be good to go with, and would i end up reusing any cables or stock wiring i already have with the new taller bars?
Im assuming a 14" kit would work, but maybe some of the cables would be a bit too long.

When I switched to 10 inch baby apes I didn't have to change a single wire, hose or cable. I switched to all braided stuff when I went even taller. But if you want to be safe for piece of mind, +3 inch would be all you would need to order. Drew, Jireh, JP Cycles and Dennis Kirk all sell them.

So I should be good with just my stock cables and wires if my overall bar height will only be 11"?? If so this is a relief... dont have to sneak another $200 bill past the misses...lol

Thats my guess. Based on what I have read on this forum, quite a few people run 10 inch bars with the stock stuff. I'm still running all the stock wiring even with 12 inch bars and 3 inch risers, but the cables and hose just were two tight. I could not get the brake line to work with the 12's and 3 inch risers and I was not comfortable with how tight the throttle and clutch cable was, so I replaced them.

You won't be able to use stock cables from your train on anything over 9. Barnett and Magnum Shielding both make nice cables and Nams makes good wire extensions. If you order from doc v twin he can help you with the cable lengths or you can ask the guys from Todds. It's not too hard to make the switch. There are a lot of helpful threads here on the forum.

Its not hard at all....but it IS very time consuming. Fast guys still spend all day doing it. The clutch cable is the only one that requires any real thought. You have to pull the tranny side cover off and that sometimes requires pulling the rear pipe depending on the exhaust system you run. I probably could do faster but its only because I am on my 5th set of handlebars, third clutch cable and second brake hose. As I mentioned earlier, one of the people I would contact would be Drew as he sells this stuff and he's helped more people on this forum probably than any other single member.
