Default Just realized O2 sensors are unpluggeed

I have an 07 softail I purchased a little while back, I was really giving it a cleaning today and realized that the O2 sensors have been unplugged and capped. The bike has a stage 1 air cleaner, stock pipes and the dealer stated it has a stage 1 program.

My guess is the original owner had exhaust, and a PC, but i dont know for sure. Maybe when he put the stock exhaust back on and took the PC off he forgot to plug in the sensors.

I have no way of contacting the previous owner at this point to find our for sure.

Should I leave it alone, plug them in, or take it to the shop?

If it has a fuel management system, they may have been disconnected in order to run the system. Check under the seat and see if there is a module "piggybacked" with the ECM.

take it in. no tuner requires the o2sensors. did you look behind the rear splash guard? a lot of guys like to hide power commanders back there because of a lack of room under the seat

i wouldnt ride it without the sensors or a tuner. you gonna add pipes? if so just get the tuner at the same time. i had the stage 1 download done to a previous bike i had and they did not unplug the sensors
