I'm gonna take it back old school military on you. Use brasso it works great on aluminum.

mothers all wheel cleaner....its acid based and will take YEARS of brake dust right off.

I have 2 coats of paint and a clear coat just on the rough area. Looks great, easy to clean.

WHITE DIAMONDS Expensive and hard to find but Auto Zone usually carries it.
All other products are **** compared to this product.

wow lots of opinions

and yes I will do chrome this winter
but i do love the look of original Aluminum Fatboy rims
as Iam sure that the majority of us do

Problem is, it's the urethane coating that gets messed up, not the aluminum. HD service guy way back in 92 told me to wash the wheels after every ride or the warranty wouldn't cover the brake dust damage.

So I chromed 'em...

Put spokes on 'em. The only thing I dont like about Fattys is the solid wheels.
