Default Cross bones rear wheel finally on my NT

Well it's done. It was not nearly as easy as I thought it was going to be but nonetheless it's done and I love it.

Had to switch bearings and get a pulley spacer to make it work. I'll get some better pics up soon.

Dude. Dude.

I've been spending a great deal of time trying to source a CB rear whell for my NT- where'd you find yours? And why exactly, was it such a pain?

I bought it from Nassau HD. Got it for 400 brand new with a brand new tire. It was a pain because I thought it was a straight swap. I needed to switch bearings because my axle is 3/4 and the cb wheel is 25mm. Then after I bought the new wheel installation kit I found out that the pulley needed to be spaced out so I had to buy a pulley spacer.

All done now and well worth it.

What year is your NT? Mine is '08 and I was told by the HD guy that it would be a straight up swap.

Yep mine is an '06 therefore the 3/4 inch axle. Anything newer than that should be an exact axle swap, I'm pretty sure you are going to need to space out the pulley though. For that I used a 7/16 inch thick pulley spacer made for 1 inch axles. The locating diameter was 2.208" I believe.

Good luck.

Anyone have the part number for that CB rear wheel? I'd like to price one at Zanotti's. Thanks.

ooops, sorry I missed this question. No the stock axle spacers didn't work but the new wheel installation kit had a set of spacers in it that I cut to the correct length.
