Default Front Turn Signals

Trying to decide what to do for front turn signals on my build. I was thinking mirrors with LED turn signals, but them not being DOT (I have to have this bike inspected by the state police and they specifically look for lighting), having to fish a wire thru my already internally wired bars and them being on 14" apes is making me think twice. I am looking for something cool and understated. They have to work with a detachable windshield as wife will not ride without a shield on long trips and they have to be DOT compliant. The Silver bullets say they are not DOT compliant. I do not want the big honking HD ones. Also, there is no light bar on the bike. I am way open to suggestions. Pics are awesome. Thanks!

Not sure if this is something that you would like but I decided to relocate my turn signals to my front forks on my Springer. It cleaned up the looks of my 16" apes and I think it looks better. Good luck in finding something.

How about something like this:

or
http://www.jpcycles.com/product/330-538

Not sure whether they're DOT or not. I know there are other options out there. Check the various online aftermarket sellers like jpcycles, denniskirk, or the doc here on the forums.

They make a silver bullet that goes on the bottom of FL forks like I have. It replaces the bottom screw on each side of the tins. I am worried about that being compatible with the windshield mount and if the signals will be behind the windshield.

Thanks for the leads. Only thing I need to figure out is how to mount them on the forks.

I've been looking myself for some time now. Hate the stock ones on the bras, and I think the relocation to the fork, ruins the springer, so I ordered some of these.

They are E-marked (european).

Not sure how good they will look on the retro Crossbones, but I'll give it a try...
