Default New cams

How involved is it to replace the cams? Is it a lot of work and are any special tools needed?? I have built many automobile engines but never anything internal on a bike..

I'm just not happy with the power.. or lack of power of my new Lo...

East of Atlanta in Loganville.
Cam change is real easy with no special tools other than a torque wrench for the most part. Tons of write ups on here. You can do it in a few hours using adjustable push rods. Slightly longer if you go through the rockers.
The hardest part is swapping cam bearings if you decided to swap them. That does require a special tool, but you can rent a blind hole puller for free from autozone to pull them, and use an old cam to install the new bearings.
If you were closer I'd say come on over and we'd knock it out.

dang.. wish I was too... I'm sure it's easier once you've done it before..

Same here, I'm going to tackle it as a winter project. Dont want to tie the bike down this summer. Need to find out whats the best cams to use too.

It's only a 4 1/2 hour ride .......... lol. Come on up.
If you can handle a car motor, you can certainly handle the cam change. It's nowhere near as intimidating as it seems, once you start......

don't tempt me.. I've ridden farther than that for no other reason than to just ride...

I've got a lift table and all the tools........ just grab the cams and the pushrods. Oh, and the tuner that you'll need......
