Default Is it time to change the tranny fluid...???

My bike is getting harder to get nuetral, not like its really difficult anyway but a little more effort than usual. When shifting, the gear engauge seems to be getting louder and "harder".

Time to change the tranny fluid, or is this more than that. I only changed my oil to mobil 1 V twin before I brought it to Boston. Left the other fluids alone for now. But it may be time ai guess.

Are there milage milestones that these fluids should be changed?

Ive only gone 2500 mi since purchased.(fyi)

thanks to all.

I should change mine more often since I found water in mine. (I also use redline.)

You should check your clutch adjustment too, just in case.

Could be your clutch needs adjusted. Get yourself a service manual so you know what needs done when it needs done.

I got one on ebay, the one on CD. It was like $10 shipped. It is good, has all the stuff you need. You can print pages as needed or take a lap top in the garage. I did end up getting a regular paper manual that I came across on the classifieds too. (good deal, couldn't pass it up)
I think the ebay guy was like Hot Iron M/C or something like that.

Clutch adjustment and change if you like. I try to change mine every 3000 for peace of mind. I won't run Redline shockproof anymore since my tranny went bad. I pulled it apart and that super thick stuff was all gummed up in the bearings and stuff.

Sounds more like a clutch adjustment. But if you haven't changed the fluids since you got it. You may want to for piece of mind. Would go to synthetic if you haven't already.
