Default Ignition issue

I'm having some ignition issues on my 87 fxstc . After riding a little while I will loose spark on the rear bank . The bike has a dyna s ignition now . I would like to go with a crane set up ( single fire ) . Any suggestions ? I am assuming that my problem is ignition related .

I would first check out the ignition wire for the affected cylinder, If you don't have the means to check it out, replace it and then go after the plugs. I would try to isolate the cause before you change anything which could only complicate things, You can check the resistance in the wire to see if it is internally broken, then try switching the plugs to the opposite cylinder and see if the problem migrates. Don't forget to check over the coil too for cracks or carbon tracking.

Don't know if your setup is dual or single fire, but if it is single fire,(where the plugs fire independently of each other) I would suspect the ignition as the problem, if it is dual fire, then I would suspect the coil.

Single fire, you could also suspect the coil for the affected cylinder
