Sidestand is hitting new longer floorboards
What can I do about my kickstand not going all the way up? My new Ness floorboards are longer than my stock ones and they prevent the kickstand from going all the way up. The kickstand is sitting so low it scrapes around corners that don't even require much of a lean.

They found out about it when they tested it an hour before they brought it home to me tonight. I am supposed to ride it to a mechanic tomorrow who also does custom work. I will ask him to modify the kickstand.
I really don't want to ride it tomorrow with that kickstand so low. I suppose this is my education about all the tweaks custom stuff needs...

Yeah we tried that tonight, it will not clear the stand even when it is pivoted up. I may have a friend triler it tomorrow, sure don't want that kickstand coming down during the ride.

You should be able to purchase a replacement arm that does not have the long factory heal arm on it.I am assuming that is what is preventing in from going up.I replaced my arm with one an inch shorter and it does not have the the long heal arm on it.By the way, your boards are sweet.Very nice looking.

Before I retired, as a Millwright/Welder, One of our statements was as long as we have a cutting tourch and welder, we can fix bout anything..
Looks like maybe a welding shop could cut and then figure out how to weld something back that would work for U. The chrome may have to be redone or PC it or just some black paint...
