Attention LEO'S. Am I going to the slammer?

the only place I've ever seen the vins on bikes being looked at that closely was in Sturgis during the rally. Believe a team is sent there each year by the feds to look for stolen bikes/parts. If it was me I'd keep some type of documentation on me to prove the tranny was legit. I like the idea of having the numbers run by someone and keeping the paperwork on that available if there's ever a problem.

Things must be different where you are man! It was a legitimate sale and you have a receipt from ebay, not like a parking lot sale. Unless the seller finds a necessity to report it stolen, no heat. Your tranny was wore out and you replaced it. Just relax and enjoy it, and put another 100 mi on that! The guy you bought the tranny from has the same non matching numbers now also, so technically has the same issue as you.

Last guy that did that was shot multiple times right there on the side of the road where he was pulled over. Then another cop came by and asked the 1st cop why he did that and he told him about the the tranny numbers not matching up with the registration numbers. That officer was appauled and drew his pistol and shot the law breaking citizen 9 more times.

I just wonder where they put up all those cops they bring into Sturgis every year. They are 5 or six deep at every intersection trying to harass and intimidate everyone. They must all stay in a big *** hen house!
