10" risers huh?, thats huge. im not a fan of risers more than 6", just makes the bike look funny.

just get smaller smaller apes, itll look better. like an ape bar with 90 degree bends.

 

If it were me my shopping list would be:
C&C or La Pera Seat
Shotgun Shocks
18 Inch Apes
Wheels
Shotgun Shocks
Chrome goodies
Chrome Front forks
And the list goes on and on, but you get the idea!

 

Oh and of course if its a deluxe some cholos..

 

Given your height and weight - I would go for the most comfortable seat I could find and move the controls forward, you don't need to be lowered.
Just my opinion.

 

Thanks for the congratulations and all the input ya'll, I ordered a bare bones seat today, I like the lower look.

I brought my new baby home today, I gotta say guys... why in the heck did I wait so long to get a Harley?!?! I tell you, I always hear from some of the "purists" and the "hardcore" crowd how they don't like softails, and they don't really work (in reference to the suspension). I gotta say, I've had 6 different bikes in my short life, and absolutely none of them has given me this much pleasure when riding. I feel like I'm riding on a cloud. I just love it!

So, thinking maybe some apes is next on the list.... man, my wife is going to kill me!

 

The STG1 includes a new High flow A/C and a FM system,, If U still have the stock A/C and all U have is Slip-ons, its not called STG1.

With a High Flow A/C U'll either have a F/M system or a simple Download...

If the seller is saying that its had stg1 done, then he's wrong and Bull Chitting U.

 

First of all Congrats on the new ride. Second of all, try it out like others have said, make it your own and have fun shopping for new accessories...

 

So It has begun. I got a new seat, I went with the LePera Bare bones, was going to go with the badlander at first, but I decided I like the solo seat look. I also got a bib cover from Mustang to cover up the holes left from the luggage rack.

Given my size, the seat makes a WORLD of difference, it's almost like a different bike with the change in seat.

Next is some 16 inch apes that fellow member JPL is getting rid of.

Also, I haven't had a chance to call them, but Cyclevision doesn't list their Go Forward contorls available for an FLSTN. It states they have them for the C/S/F but no "N". Anyone know if for sure you can get them for the N(Deluxe)? Honestly, I'm not so sure I need them with the seat that I have now.
