I am still in love with those tires , after 7000 Miles now it is still good, but I can see that the tread life won't be much after 10K miles, but like I said before, we all pay more money for our bikes because we 'enjoy' them, I don't understand buying a Harley and then nickling and Diming on the 'fun' part of it. but to each his own.

These are the MOST fun tires for those who love corners , sweepers and leaning, for those who do not lean the bike too much, they will enjoy the confidence but maybe not the best choice.

Mached with a set of good suspension setup (I have 422's) it is a totally different ride on the corners.

Well I got'a go with the OP (klf33) far as the Night Dragon. Got 1 on the rear......
Pick'd up a deck screw headfirst deadcenter on the Dunlop GT502/180 late last fall(had only 4600mls on it,too bad ta plug,though)....long story short....Dealer want'd 335.00 for a new Dunlop,+ 75.00 ta mount/balance....fug that, got hold of my Indy,he put the NightDragon on ,balanced , out the door, ready ta ride for 230.00 bux and change....like some of the other dudes, does have a "rounder" profile than the Dunlop, but man I tell ya.....this thing HANGS ON.....gonna need a new front soon, and I'll have my Indy mount 1(NightDragon) on the front before June/July is over.....I'm impress'd......

Ive been through 3 of them on the standard. Generally I get 5500 miles on most tires. With the Night Dragons I got 7500 and great grip. I switched to the Com II now.

Right now they are relativly cheep but as soon as they live up to the claims you can bet the price will go up. 2500 miles so far and they are as good in the rain as the night dragons! Do a search. There are like 5 threads on the tire.

I just discovered my 200mm Avon Venom rear tire was worn down to the black cords on my RG. I ordered a Pirelle ND and should have it on by this coming weekend. The front tire had about 30K on it too so I bought a Pirelli for it too.
The Avon was the second one I had on the bike since I put the FBI fat tire kit on the bike back in summer 09. It was a good tire as others have noted in this thread.
