Default Night train stock cables with taller risers and wider bars

Can i get away with my stock cables on my train and use a wider drag bar and 8in risers or maybe 10 in risers? im thinking im going to take of the apes and do drags again.

I would say no. I have street slammers and thats just about all you can do with stock cables

Nope. I have a 2008 train also, with stock drags and 1" taller risers (7" total). There is ~ 2" of play... + tank clearance is also a consideration. I would say you could go taller or wider, but not both.

I agree. On my 09' i switched from the stock 6's to 8 inch risers and then on to 1" risers and 8" z-bars without any issues but I never tried wider. The z-bars had the cables pushed to their limit.

ok thanks for the info. now if i do wider bars and 8in riser what would you think the difference in cable lenth would be? i'm thinking +4 ish. looks like the brake line would be the shortest if i went with stock cables
