Default Doing things the hard way.

Is it just me or does anyone else do things a more difficult way to achieve a certain look for their bikes. Like using a old style part from a different style bike and modifying it to work on what you have.

Ive done a lot of mods on my sportster over the years and now just got a heritage softail that im starting to tinker with. I really want to get a tour pack on the back of the bike, but I hate to pay 850.00 for the set up, and I want something unique anyhow. In the long run I probably wont save that much money but will end up that I envision, that is slightly different that what is sold over the counter.

Anyone else with these same issues.
