I use a Sony Walkman radio or an Apple IPod with Sony ear buds. Works pretty good and I can still hear whats going on around me.

I too use an ipod and earbuds. I also put some handle bar mounted selfpowered speakers on that I like, but do not use as much as I thought I would. Let me know if you want me to look up what they are. The are not labeled and I do not remember what they are called.

one letter Y......Isnt motorcycling about the road and experiencing the enviroment? My buddy added the hd radio to the roadking...ugly but works well. You may be able to fit it to your ride. Watch out for the cops...some states have laws against ear buds in both ears!

I "built" a radio for my '01 Heritage using a marine radio with a wired remote mounted in the left saddlebag. Didn't take up much room in the saddlebag. For speakers, I mounted a pair of speakers in a DYNA dual gauge cluster and then mounted the remote uner the switch housing.
Here are some pics.
