Same with mine, replacing the bushings and risers should fix it this weekend. Funny thing was, I didnt notice it till after I had the 1000 mile service done (I was in a hurry and didnt have all the tools that I do now). Part of it was also from the bars not being perfectly centered on the risers.

Stand in front of the bike, stick the front wheel between your legs, grab the bars and tweak em' in the direction that needs tweakin'. The cause is the rubber bushings going through the top tree. If you grab your bars and are aggresive coming off the kickstand or turning around in a parking space, you'll be tweakin' again. How did you make out with the air cleaner and backing plate?

Not sure what you're asking about the a/c and backing plate?

Couple of weeks ago you started a thread about weekend mods and were looking for tips on the installations. I told you about the possibility of the filter element getting squashed/wrinkled/buckled if the length of the mounting studs were to short. Have I jogged your memory ? This was a issue I dealt with my S.E. backing plate and zippers filter.

From your picture, stand in front of the bike and pull on the brake lever side while pushing on the clutch lever side until your bars are squared up.
