Default Softail Custom-Heat Deflector/Shield

This question hasn't been asked in awhile and hot weather is coming.
What kind of deflector/shield do you use on your softail in general, custom specifically?
Harley only seems to make them for Touring models. Not sure about the leather types, weather might affect them....How about the Kuryakyn?

and sidenote, while I'm here....does anyone make a deflector/shield for Sportsters?

Not the best photos in the world... but I made my own heat shield... mud guards... brake pedal pads... holster for my ccw. Total cost for hide, dye, and protectant... $120... still have half the hide left over.

Did this after having three Kuryakyn heat shields shatter on me... lousy design for Fatboys. JMHO

You have to be careful with these... what seat you have makes all the difference. Those are the ones that shattered the three times I tried them.

Hopefully you don't feel this is a pointless reply as I have not yet tried the Captain Itch heat Shields. BUT, I have ordered other leather goods from the Captain and can testify that his merchandise is not only beyond reproach, but is the best of its kind I have ever owned. If his Shields are ANYTHING like his other leather goods, you will be pleased with your purchase. Not to mention, he is a HDForum Sponsor.
