+1 for REI
REI Half Dome Tent, A Good Sleeping Bag (I like the Big Agnes brand), Thermarest 3/4 Mattress, Pocket Rocket Butane Stove, One Pot, Sharp Knife, Cork Screw, Camping Spork, Cup, Dry Bag(s) for Cameras, Cell Phones and other electronic toys. Attached picture was taken this past weekend in Death Valley.
Tools, Clothes and Toiletries are all subjects for another thread I suspect.

Silverfox,

I like your setup! looks like you've been there and done that a few times, not often you see full load out AND room for two up!

Thanks

Nice, see you were in Death Valley, that's a 'Bucket List" trip for myself. Hmm, Early April probably the best time to go as the heat is starting to build again.

I appreciate the post, Thanks!

Thanks NorCal,

Done this route, and for Shows and Runs, probably will continue or Hotel as others have posted but looking more for off the beaten track kind of camping trips with a minimalistic bent and solo or double on the bike, making it all fit and still have room for a passenger.

Nice Setup by the way, all the comforts of home and probably the gravitational hub where ever you park!

Default nice

Mark this thread. Heck of a lot of good ideas in here. Looks like I will be spending more money...planning on doing the Blue Ridge Parkway this summer.

How good is Thermarest 3/4 Mattress? Also anyone recommend a one man tent?

If you mean a 3/4 length mattress, I hated it. I quickly grew to disliking my heals and lower legs being off the mattress. Cold and uncomfortable, at least imo.
