Wife's Softail Died...need help!
2006 Softail Deluxe.
Wife pulled away from the intersection and half way through lost all power (elect). Checked fuses, no current to the fuse box or switch under the tank panel, Positive post was somewhat loose. Did have spark shorting a jumper wire across + & - on battey.
We now have it home. Checked the volts, 11volts. Have not put it on the charger.
Was told by a Kawasaki rider that his bike if below 10 volts there's a relay that will not let the current flow to the starter or switch??? Does Harley have this feature too?
Any help appreciated.

Check your 'kill switch.' A poster here awhile back pushed his 1/2 mile home, checked everything, then posted for answers here.
He'd inaverdently hit his kill switch when making a turn!
If that's not it, does the power come on when you turn on the switch? My switch went bad awhile back. I had to replace it and the plug that plugs to it. Total cost from JP, less than 60 bucks. HD wanted over 100 for a switch and didn't sell the plug unless I bought the whole wiring harness for 250.

Checked kill switch...was still in the run position.
Checked volts prior to being placed on the charger, this is when it read 11 volts.
Shouldn't the fuse box behind the battery under the seat still be hot to all fuses on their hot side? is there another fuse box or a main fuse located somewhere?

Found the problem
Ok, found the problem. The ignition switch wire connector was broke off the circuit breaker stud. I can't find that particular wire in the manual only showing it leading to the circuit breaker so guess I'm off to the dealer to see what I have to purchase in order to replace the heavy guage wire. Hope I'm not told I need a complete harness but only the wire leading direct to the switch.
Thanks Dr V_TWIN!

If they tell you it's gonna cost a lot ... check aftermarket.
