Drew I definetly think you should ditch the bags. Totally takes away from your rear end and even your pipe in my opinion. I'm gonna ditch mine also except for long trips!
Yeah, the stripped down look is nice. But I really enjoy having carrying capacity so I can bring stuff with me too. Maybe a roll bag on the bars again will do the trick.
Chuck the ipod thing on the dash and get the magnet thats one of the things i think kills the bike for me bro. Harley sales that ipod holder magnet thing that grabs the tank bro.
I like it without the bags as well... I like the stripped down look man. Would a swingarm bag do the job for around town with carrying capacity? Wish they made speakers to be placed in a better location (Maybe engine guards where you can internally wire the speakers?)and then just throw the ipod in the swingarmbag or front fork bag...
i like the idea for the cam cover maybe get the rsd one chrome and get the ripples in it red to match but that leads to rsd tranny cover and everything else.
Hey Drew, not trying to pound this into the ground and I know you are concentrating on lenses but I took the liberty of using one of your photos and my meager photoshop skills to see what your AC would look like with red mesh. I also bumped up the red stitching (if it's noticeable at all).
I think the red mesh is too much, can you PC the 5 spokes on the outside of the mesh instead? I think that will be more in line with flowing with the spoke wheels, just sayin.
Smoked on the fender tip light to match turn signals is my vote.
OOPS I SEE YOU ALREADY DID THE SPOKES ON THE A/C, SORRY! But it flows lots better!
Also, be really carefull with adding too much red. It will get confused looking if you take it to far. I also agree with leaving the bags off for just cruising around, you can always boltem up for longer rides. I have to say again that your sled is really looking good.
The only other red I would consider that would work and still not be going to far with the color red, is taking the end caps off your grips (only) and powdercoat them to an exact matched red.
