Angry Its always gotta be sumpin!!!

Man I tell you. Guess I just gotta vent. Bought a set of Wild 1 12.5 apes to go on my softy. Got 1.7 risers with them and set of new riser bolts with the cones on them for the ends. Everything sounds good so far right? Well then realize I need some washers for under the new riser bolts. I need shorter bolts for the top clamp to the riser and to top it all off none of my cables will work with the new bars.

I ended up having to cut my riser bolts when I installed my 1.5" Carlini risers. The stock length would have bottomed out with the Arlen Ness flush mounted bushing set I got.

I have the same bars and I think they're great...

That's also why I do these mods in the Winter months so if I'm in the middle of it and need something it doesn't hold me up from riding... It's always the small stuff that gets you..

Good Luck!

Here's an older shot of my bike but with the Wild1 bars..

Just to finish this thread out. Got the apes installed and they look GOOD! After I panicked and ordered a cable kit from Burly I started taking cables off in anticipation of installing the new ones and I realized that the problem was with the way they were routed. So to make a long story short got it all installed and wired up and now all I have to do is get money back for unecessary cable kit I ordered. Oh Well!!!Such is life.
