Default Are all "B" motors this smooth?

So I finally brought home my "new" '08 Cross Bones. As soon as I purchased it in December, before I even rode it, I had it delivered to the shop for a SE Pro Race 113" engine build. Well I rode the bike for the first time yesterday and I can not get over how smooth this engine is. It is even smoother than the 110" Stage 1 in my '09 Street Glide. This is the first time I've ridden a Harley with the counterbalanced engine. This is by far the smoothest V-Twin I've ever ridden.

My question is are all Twin Cam B engines this smooth? It seems the counter balancers do a great job. 70 mph yesterday on the highway and my mirrors were clear as a bell.

I was impressed going from my EVO to the 07 Twin Cam. Smooth is good.

I felt the same way after trading in my Dyna for an FLSTFB with a 96B motor. However ... the counterbalancing shaft may turn a bit over time ... and it may not be as balanced as when she was young .... fact o life ...

31k and ours it as smooth as she was when new..

Actually felt like she took bout 15k to break in and really run free.. then after the cams install she was even better.

Our master wrench at our dealership made comments about the cranks (moving/spinning) he said these are the 2 main causes that could cause it:

1 - Dont consistently do high RPM downshifting.. (like dropping 2-3 gears and then pop the clutch out)
2 - Burn outs are a NO - NO..

* - OR any thing else that causes the motor to go from Idle to high RPM or from high RPM to Idle, instantly.
