Looks better with the solo setup but if the stuff makes her happy and that makes you happy, who cares what any one else thinks? It's still a great looking bike, even with the 2up gear.

I have a Deluxe as well and I'm always messing with the extra's-bags, windshield, passeger seat, backrest and luggage rack. I like my bike stripped down for solo riding. My situation is a bit different because my wifey wants nothing to do with the bikes. That being said, my deluxe is set up for solo at all times but I do throw the bags on from time to time. Thats my biggest battle with self...leave the bags on so I'm always ready to throw a jacket in there or pick up something when I'm out tooling around or leave the bags off except for when I know I'm going to need them. Good luck with the dilema...I guess thats one of the cool things about the deluxe- you can set it up as a sleek looking solo or throw everything on and almost have a touring bike and everything in the middle.

I'm a solo guy too. Not a windshield fan either. Basically it comes down to how much you really even want her on the bike. If riding together is your thing, do what you need to do to make her happy. If it is just occassionally, do what you like the most.

I am too freaking old to worry bout the looks,, I want comfort...with good looks..

After more yrs in the saddle (48) this yr, than most of U guys are in age, I agree with and like the set up U have..

I also have basically two set-ups, Solo, and Grandma & I..

Thought I don't ride W/O the shield or bags... unless its over 90 here, and it don't get that hot but a couple days a yr..

So Urs good pretty good to me.

Looks great! I think that windshield disappears with those bars. Nothing wrong with the bags either. Nice ride!

I like the bike better stripped down, but the 2up stuff serves a purpose for you. Just do the alterations when you need it I suppose. I don't really see how the wind could be hitting her so badly riding on the back but, that's just me. I never ride with a windshield and I choose to never ride anyone's with one because it's easier to just not know the difference :-)

I appreciate all the feed back guys. I definetly like the looks of my bike solo but I do like my chick to ride with me. She enjoys it also. We go to alot of bike rallys in the Pacific Northwest during the summer. We have a group of bikes between 15-20 that we ride with to the rallys. Summer is getting close. Im stoked.
